A tracheostomy is an opening (made by an incision) through the neck into the trachea (windpipe). A tracheostomy opens the airway and aids breathing. The tracheostomy may be temporary or permanent. Our nurses are experienced in managing patients with tracheal airway dependence. We provide competent trach management care that includes suctioning, administering nebulizer or other breathing treatments, trach tubes and tie changes, and other required specialized respiratory care management whether the patient is ventilator dependent or not.
